· If you could change your life, what would you change first? Do you know?
· If you could redesign your life, what would you change first? Can you answer this?
· What makes you happy?
· What makes you unhappy?

If you can, just take a little time and think about those questions and write your answers down. There are no right or wrong answers, but they will provoke some thought hopefully, then please read on: -
When I was planning a design (it was a house but could have been anything) some years ago, it struck me that I didn’t really truly know what I wanted, just what I didn’t want. The thing is,– we can only know what we don’t want through our lived experience. So how do we know what we do want?
We can all say ‘if I only had this…life would be so much better’ or ‘if I had more money I wouldn’t have these problems’. But speaking from personal experience, it’s simply not true that any of the things you dream will help, actually do. Sure, money takes the pressure off but it does not make you happy.
Because we’re always striving for more because we feel we should. We’re never satisfied it seems.
Once we’ve got it, we want more still. It’s a self-perpetuating circle. And a self-perpetuating circle of things that don’t actually make us feel any better. Think about it, and apply this formula to anything.
Bigger, better, faster, thinner, fatter, and so on. Fact is, these aren’t the things we really want. They come from a fear deep inside us and believing we’ll be more liked, more successful, happier whenever we get ‘x’ in my opinion is complete tosh. You may have a temporary buzz, but once you’ve lived the experience for a short while you’ll realise you’re no happier, but now wanting the next new big shiny thing, so probably even less happy.
Because what you’re looking for is simply the REAL you. What’s missing is that ‘YOU’. The REAL YOU. That’s what you’re looking for and sadly consumerism now tells us we’ll find the key to happiness in that new car. You know, the one that when you pick it up is just the best thing since sliced bread, but not too far down the line becomes ‘the car’ because the novelty has worn off. Doesn’t mean you won’t still enjoy it – but be honest – haven’t you already started looking at the newer model? Mobile phones another example – I’m sure you could come up with loads more if you put your mind to it.
So, I’d love to help you get that lightbulb moment, the lightbulb moment that actually screams at you that the car/latest phone/biggest house doesn’t make you happier (I had it a couple of years ago) and honesty you’ll laugh when you get it, at just how easy it was.
Believe me, it’s so much better than worrying about that car getting scratched; or someone stealing your top of the range iphone; or losing ‘whatever it is’ that you’ve invested so much of your energy in and that in truth you’d trade in a heartbeat, if it could cure health problems or bring a loved one back.

This change of mindset – well, change of heart is 100% achievable and you don’t need to have a fancy car or £millions to get that feeling of, well, completeness….happiness….joy….peace.
I’ll work with you, and the you that’s inside fighting to get past the untruths your ego is telling you that you need, and honestly once you get it – that lightbulb moment, the light switch flicking on, you will feel so free. Carefree. Like a child inside. The child that’s happier with the cardboard box than the gift you spent a chunk of money on.
You’ll recognise what is of real value to you in your life and that you actually already have it in your grasp, inside you.
It’s simply a case of flicking the switch.
